Summer cable cars
Take the easy way up to the mountain tops on the summer cable cars to the Markbachjoch and the Schatzberg mountains - perfect starting points for longer hikes.
One of the best views of the Wilder Kaiser is to be seen from the top of the Markbachjoch. The cable cars are both free with the Wildschönau Card!

A valley like no other
Of the four picture book villages, Thierbach is the smallest and at the same time the highest village in the Kitzbühel Alps. Only 160 residents live there. The village infrastructure consists of two inns, a few farmhouses and the smallest primary school in Austria. The Krautinger is absolutely unique, a beet schnapps that is only distilled in the Wildschönau.
