The Dobratsch Nature Park is Carinthia’s oldest nature park and offers a unique mountain experience right on Villach’s doorstep. The Villach Alpine Road leads to Rosstratte, the last car park before the summit, which offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains.
The Dobratsch offers hiking trails, accessible routes such as the Skywalk and the geological nature trail, mountain huts, nature experiences and, in winter, peaceful opportunities for winter walking, tobogganing and snowshoeing. At the foot of the Dobratsch, you can also explore the region’s mining history, for example in Bad Bleiberg with its show mines and therapeutic climate tunnels.
