Menta Alm - Scheibenalm

Starting from the village square in Galtür the hike heads in a westerly direction past the Alpinarium, which stands out with the combination of its protective wall and exhibition area and its unique architecture. Take a left here and head to Winkl, where you will get to a hiking trail which heads to Jamtal. Here, even at the start of the entrance to the valley, you get a unique view to the Jamtal glacier. The Menta Alm and the Scheibenalm are two places where you can enjoy a nice stop-off for refreshments, and take a breather for a while. There is also the chance to try out Paznaun specialities here. At the end of June/start of July in particular the blossoming Alpine roses provide another impressive backdrop for your hike. Return section: Sameroute for the returnleg
