Sondalo

Sondalo - at 940 meters above sea level - is located at the foot of the Stelvio National Park and just a few kilometers from the major tourist centers of the Valtellina away.

Nevertheless Sondalo is very primarily known as a health resort. Thanks to its healthy air, the dry climate and ideal geographic location and altitude, this site offers all year round rest and relaxation.

In the 30's a huge spa with nine main buildings was built in Sondalo. The center is now a specialized hospital for tuberculosis patients.
