The EOFT turns 25 – and is celebrating this special anniversary with a new edition packed with extraordinary stories about people who seek out and push their limits. For a quarter of a century, the film tour has been bringing the most captivating outdoor and adventure films from around the world to the big screen, establishing itself as one of the most important cinema formats for Europe’s outdoor community.
To mark its anniversary, the programme once again promises high tension, powerful emotions and spectacular images from the mountains, wild rivers and remote corners of the world. The complete programme for the anniversary edition has now been finalised – and since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is the new trailer.
Here is the Trailer EOFT 26/27!
The programme has a total running time of around 120 minutes. Including the live hosting and supporting programme, each event lasts approximately two and a half to three hours. Following the premiere, the programme will be shown in 15 countries at 400 events through the end of January.
The EOFT 2026/27 Programme
Wand in Sicht:
Climber Philipp Hans sails to the Greek Aegean to establish a new route on the rocky island of Amorgos. His dream line rises directly from the sea, stretching 250 metres vertically – and to climb it, he has brought his brother Moritz and childhood friend Falk along for the adventure. But the Greek (weather) gods are not to be trifled with and show the three Swabians who is boss.
Bravo Les Filles:
Two generations – one route: Sasha DiGiulian and Mariana „Mango“ Ordoñez want to become the first all-female rope team to free-climb the route Bravo Les Filles, completing what the first female climbers, led by Lynn Hill, were unable to achieve in 1999. A film that shows how important female role models are – and that some projects may be postponed, but are never truly abandoned.
I Follow Rivers:
For 20 years, Norwegian kayaker Mariann Sæther has dreamed of paddling one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland’s highlands. Her dream of Aldeyjarfoss has outlasted her two world championship titles and the birth of her two children. How do we find our own path between freedom and responsibility? The film follows an exceptional athlete on her journey towards an answer.
Six Days To The Edge:
Six days and six friends are needed to make this great dream a reality – crossing savannah, rivers, flash floods, mud and stubborn undergrowth: Slackliner Lukas Irmler has dreamed for 17 years of stringing a highline across Venezuela’s legendary Angel Falls and feeling 1000 m of air beneath his feet.
La Source du Freeride:
Even after winning the Freeride World Tour, Swiss skier Emilien Badoux continues his relentless search for the true essence of freeriding. Together with his long-time companion Géraldine Fasnacht, he is on the trail of this very special feeling of freedom. Now Emilien and Géraldine are passing on their respect for the mountains to a new generation of freeriders – in particular Liam Rivera, who first becomes their protégé and then takes on Emilien’s legacy as a freeride champion.
