Drau Paddle Path

A certified canoe instructor will equip you with the necessary safety clothing for your tour and show you all the necessary paddle strokes to steer the canoe safely along the Drau. He accompanies you in your 2-4 seater canoe, there is also enough space for your personal equipment. The river Drau flows very calmly and gently through Villach. Here you can enjoy the city of Villach from a different point of view. The further you approach the mouth of the Gail and the Draus reservoir in Rosegg, the more peaceful the currents of the Drau become. A refreshment along the way will also be provided. At a joint picnic we offer you a real "Carinthian snack" with products from surrounding organic farmers. Strengthened we start the last part of our tour and move almost silently past the harmonious places of the flat water biotope Föderlach. Shortly before the weir in Drau/Rosegg our tour ends and we take you back to Lake Faaker See.

Please bring light outdoor clothing as well as shoes that can get wet, change clothes and swimsuits if necessary.

Swimming skills required, life jackets are available for all ages.

By car, take the A2 to the Villach junction, then head towards Slovenia and take the first exit St. Niklas. Continue to Lake Faak and drive around it clockwise to the Faaker See kayak school in Egg. From there it goes together to the starting point. Individual canoeists leave the A10 at the exit "Villach West".

There is enough parking available at the kayak school/beach bath Egg.
