A warm welcome to the Wiriehorn in the Diemtigtal!

After a short journey you are right in the middle of winter. The 6-seater chairlift Riedli–Nüegg takes you from the valley floor up to Nüegg in a few minutes. Up there, wide slopes, quiet alpine pastures, snowy forests and the view over the Diemtigtal are waiting for you.

Skiing for the whole family
Around 11.5 km of blue, red and black slopes, served by the chairlift, the Doppelskilift Tubelfärrich and the Skilift Röschteschwend. The Nüegg-Riedli valley run is equipped with snowmaking and is a favourite for repeat runs with the chairlift. The little ones learn in the Wirieblick beginners' area with conveyor belt, children's lift and ski school. Children pay their age in francs for a day pass, under 6 they ski for free.

More than slopes
Two toboggan runs lead from Nüegg down to Riedli: the easy one for families, the difficult one for those who like it sporty. Plus winter hiking trails, two pink-marked snowshoe trails and the new figure trail «Wiriespatz findet Freunde» for families.

When night falls
Every Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm, slope and toboggan run are lit: night skiing and night tobogganing with the evening pass. Afterwards, enjoy fondue at the Berghotel Nüegg.

Places to stop
Berghotel Nüegg right at the mountain station, Schneebar Wiriehorn on the Alp Schwarzenberg and après-ski at the Saloon by the valley station. Rent skis, snowboards, sledges and snowshoes at Stucki Sport at the valley station.

Skilift Homad project
The Homad belongs to the Wiriehorn. To get the ski lift running again, we are raising CHF 250,000 through crowdfunding until 30 April 2027. Help us: www.wiriehorn.ch/homad

Winter season 2026/27: daily from 12 December 2026 to 14 March 2027. Before that from 5 December, and afterwards, weekend operation if snow conditions allow.
