The Cabin

• The Krefelder Hütte is located directly at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn and offers you a fantastic mountain scenery and an unobstructed view of Zell am See.
• Expanded and renovated piece by piece, the Krefelder Hütte has cosiness on a fairly modern level without losing the charm of a mountain hut and offers many mountain sports destinations in summer and winter. - On our spacious and sunny hut terrace you can experience beautiful moments during your holiday and enjoy delicious dishes from our hut kitchen! - And if the weather is not so good: It doesn't matter: our cozy dining rooms have another 100 seats, so that there is also enough space inside for house and day guests.

Accommodation / Meals
In the Krefelder Hütte there are a total of approx. overnight places available for you in cozy 2- to 5-bed rooms. In summer, the rooms are available as "dormitories" (as is usual in Alpine Club huts) and thus the use of a sleeping bag / hut sleeping bag is mandatory - however, upon request, we can also provide fresh bedding and a towel for an extra charge. We have communal showers and washrooms and toilets on every floor. Most of the rooms are additionally equipped with sinks. We also have a large new drying room with two shoe dryers, so that everything is usually dry again by morning. For your culinary well-being, we provide you with a daily menu with typical hut specialties for hikers and walkers. We are happy to offer our house guests a breakfast buffet and à la carte dishes in the evening or our half-board: This includes a hearty breakfast buffet for the perfect start to your holiday day and a delicious three-course dinner.

Hiking
From the Krefelder Hütte, there are many different hiking routes for individuals, but of course, the option to join guided hikes as well.

From the hut, there are many different hiking routes for individualists, but of course also the possibility to participate in the guided hikes of the Kaprun glacier lifts. • Via the particularly beautiful and atmospheric Alexander-Enzinger path to Maiskogel: Walking time: about 3 - 4 hours
• To the Berghaus Moserboden (2040m) also 3 - 4 hours, some safety equipment necessary
• To Mühlbachtal (769m) 4.5 - 5 hours
• To Rudolfshütte (2311m) over the Maurerkogelscharte (2929m) about 8 hours, high alpine, unusual & possibly strenuous
• "My first 3000er" Guided hike of the Kaprun Glacier lifts (weekly in July & August)
• Other guided hikes of the Kaprun Glacier lifts
