Kaiserweis Gastronomy & culture cycle route

A beautiful view of Kufstein and the Inn Valley isn’t the only reward on this route. At 58 kilometres and with a little more than 900 meters of altitude gain, this route is perfect for an excursion with the e-bike. From Kufstein the route starts out flat to the Kaissenhof in Ebbs, the centre of Ebbs and the famous Ebbs cathedral. Animal lovers should take a detour to the Ebbs Rare Species Zoo, which is home to 500 animals and 70 different species. The tour then leads us slightly uphill to idyllic Rettenschöss. Kossabiene is the name of the apiary here, where bees can enjoy natural conditions. The owner, Maria Koller has plenty of interesting information to share. Over Ritzgraben the route is alternately uphill and downhill, leading leisure cyclists to Wildbichl and the well-known Hatzenstädt organic Alpine dairy, which has received many awards for its butter and cheese. Quiet side roads on the Niederndorf hill take you to Hinterschachnerhof, where the focus is on good, hearty food with bacon, cheese and country-style bread. The view of the Inn Valley is another good reason to take a detour. Then the path leads a little to the north over the Erl hill, past Berggasthof Moosbauer and down to Erl. The long-established Gasthof Blaue Quelle, with its haute cuisine dining, is directly on the route along the Inn River back to Kufstein.
