“Good luck and have fun!” up on the Fisser Joch at 2,436 metres above sea level. An abandoned quarry and a legend surrounding a man with a golden heart. Like the Seven Dwarfs, the little miners can get to work at the Children’s Mine in hopes of finding a treasure.
Children's Mine:
A special attraction is waiting for the children in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis: in addition to skill exercises on balancing equipment, numerous climbing stations, slides and swings, the hard-working adventurers can go in search of the golden treasure. A labyrinth with glittering stones is waiting to be found in the mine cave adventure tunnel.
The golden man Trail:
Once upon a time, a powerful giant known as the “Golden Man” stuck terror into people’s hearts. After several years, he retired from causing mischief and grew together with the Fiss mountains. Thus, also his golden heart. But legend had it that deep down in the ground, the heart could be found – so, night after night, a number of greedy little gnomes kept fervently looking for it.
To put an end to the workings of these shrewd little beings, the shepherds of Fiss joined forces against them. Gnomes and shepherds started fighting each other. It was only when the Golden Man came to the shepherds’ aid and turned the gnomes to stone with his breath that the gold treasure was saved. That’s how the quarry became a play paradise for kids.
