Pays du Saint-Bernard

The Pays du St-Bernard offers you a wide variety of sporting and cultural activities in a natural, largely protected Alpine landscape.

In summer, hikers get their money's worth: nature trails, mountain huts, mountain lakes, nature reserves, walks with St. Bernard dogs or multi-day treks add variety to your holiday until October, when our forests - which are among the largest in Switzerland - take on bright autumn colours.

Hiking trails in Val Ferret Top off your holiday with a visit to one of Valais' most popular museums, the museum at the Hospice of the Great Saint Bernard, or the Flore-Alpe botanical alpine garden in Champex-Lac, one of the richest and most magnificent in the Alps. Immerse yourself in Swiss history at the artillery fortress in Champex-Lac, have fun in the trees of the high ropes course at La Fouly and refresh yourself in one of our swimming pools.

The inhabitants of the Pays du St-Bernard are proud of their region and its terroir and have many traditions. We invite you to discover them and take a selection of our local products home with you in an Entremont basket.
