Origlio

Origlio is located in a privileged position, made even more attractive by the pleasant landscape, its position on a hill and its mild climate. Exceptionally important from an environmental and naturalistic point of view, the small lake of Origlio bestows great peace and charm to this very green locality.

The lake that formed 13000 years ago with the withdrawal of glaciers has a perimeter of 1.2 km and is protected by a cantonal plan. The area around the lake is very lively, often visited by families with children; there are also numerous riding schools in the area that attract the lovers of this especially relaxing sport, in direct contact with nature. Other points of interest in Origlio are represented by a well-preserved town centre that bears traces of an ancient past, the church of San Vittore at Carnago and the Church of San Giorgio that standing on a hill overlooking the town permits a very pleasant view on the surrounding area.
