In the middle of the protected landscape area lies the natural jewel of Lake Obernberg at the foot of the Obernberger Tribulaun with its crystal-clear, turquoise-green water.

A trip to Lake Obernberg is a great experience for the whole family. The short hike from the Waldesruh car park at the end of the village / Waldesruh bus stop is also easily doable with small children. After about 45 minutes on a forest path or the meadow path, you reach the front lake at 1,500 metres. A circular hike past the Maria am See chapel and around both lakes is also nice. This takes about 1.5 - 2 h in total - depending on how often you take breaks and play on the shore...

A public journey with the regional bus 4145 is easily possible and protects the environment. Ticket included in the guest card!
