Die Stubaier Klettersteige sind mittlerweile zu einem fixen Bestandteil des alpinen Angebots geworden.

Ausgangspunkt: Mit der Gondelbahn bis zur Mittelstation Fernau. Gehzeit 15 Minuten.

Climbing fans will be in paradise on the Stubai Glacier as they make their way to the illuminated summit and climb from rock to sun-warmed rock. The best way to conquer the mountain is by making use of the via ferrate or the sports climbing routes at Kletterpark Fernau. 15 minutes’ walk to the start.

Via ferrata Fernau – 200 metres of pure climbing fun, duration 1.5 hours. Continuous steel rope, very exposed. At the end following the piles of marker stones for a few minutes to the Egesengrat via ferrata. Difficulty level C (two D-classified areas) Descent: marked path to Desdner hut, 30 minutes.

Fernau Express – Extreme via ferrata for very experience climbers. Difficulty level D and E. Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours. Descent: marked path to Desdner hut, 30 minutes.

Practice via ferrata – Short practice via ferrata allows climbers to test their ability. Difficulty level A-E.

Sports climbing routes Fernau – The sports climbing routes at Egesengrat provide difficulty levels III to VII on one to four rope lengths that are secured with bolts. Descent via the via ferrata or by abseiling.
