The Ridnaun Valley branches off westwards from Sterzing and is historically closely linked to the Fugger town. Until a few decades ago, the highest mining area in Europe was located at the foot of the Schneeberg.

Today it has been converted into a visitor mine and attracts many interested visitors every year. Historical buildings, pleasant hikes and inviting alpine pastures can be discovered in Ridnaun.
