Naturbadesee Furtner Teich

The Furtnerteich is not only a bathing and fishing paradise with beautifully manicured lawns and boat rentals, but also a breeding ground and stopover point on the journey from north to south and vice versa for birds. Migratory birds orient themselves according to the stars, the sun, the earth's magnetic field and special landscape features. The pond also has a bathing jetty and a circular path around the bird sanctuary.

The Hotel-Restaurant Jera am Furtnerteich (Tel. 03584/2810) is located right next to the pond and spoils its guests with Italian cuisine, coffee and ice cream.
