Haus Gilbert

Haus Gilbert is a small, quiet apartment house located in a residential area of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Salzburger Land.
Mühlbach is a family-friendly, cosy and affordable village amongst some of the most beautiful skiing and hiking landscapes in the Austrian Alps.
We are about 45 minutes drive from Salzburg airport.

We have three apartments for guests to rent, (40 sq m; 60 sq m and 39 sq m plus balconies) each sleeping 2-4 people (one apartment sleeps 5).

We are not suitable for young groups.

The apartments are self-contained, self-catering apartments, each with a well equipped kitchen/ living room; one or two separate double bedrooms (with an additional sofa bed) and a private shower/bathroom with W.C.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price, as is our on-site parking with one car parking place for each apartment.
Each apartment has free Wi-Fi/ WLAN access and cable TV.

The apartment house also has a range of DVDs, games and books which guests are welcome to borrow.

We take the cleanliness of the house and apartments very seriously and so for our guests we currently provide: washing up liquid, sponges, cloths, washing brush, tea towels, bin bags, kitchen roll, multi surface cleaner, toilet rolls and hand soap.

In summer guests can access hiking and cycle paths straight from the door.
Hikes from 1 to 13 hours are available with access to the super summer huts and the Salzburger Almenweg. Not to be missed is the walk to the Matrashaus (4-6 hours each way) on the summit of the Hochkönig (2,941m).
Rock climbing routes are to be found in the immediate vicinity on the Hochkönig itself with Via Ferrata and Klettersteig routes for those requiring more of a challenge.

Guests can also enjoy access to the large garden with wonderful views of the Hochkönig and make use of the facilities which include garden furniture and a barbeque.

The village centre with supermarket, bakery and restaurants is only a 3 minute walk from the property. We also offer a morning bread service for guests.

A short walk away is the village outdoor swimming pool and sunbathing area. The village also has a super play area for children with activities including a huge slide, zip slide, climbing walls and swings.

The region has a number of great tourist activities and locations, principle among them being the beautiful city of Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
