The Kundl gorge is a popular excursion site for young and old. The wide path leads past bizarre shapes and majestic rocks. The river bed is full of stones and a site for geological discoveries.

Description Kundl Gorge: Start in Kundl

Parking at the entrance of the Gorge. The path through the gorge leads over an interesting bridge built in the timber frame style and leads on past imposing rock formations. After a ten minutes' walk you will reach the Gasthaus Kundler Klamm. Gorge stretch approx. 3 km and 1 hour walking time. Further distance to Mühltal approx. 3 km. A trip on the fun train, which shuttles to and from between the end of the gorge and Mühltal, is perfect for groups and families. Eating out at Mühltail at the Gasthaus Klammrast.

Thanks to its Kundl Gorge wide path and slight incline the gorge is also suitable for push chairs, wheel chairs
and for people with walking disabilities!

Parking and walking through the gorge are free of charge! Tickets for the fun train "Bummelzug" are not included.

PLEASE NOTE: SPECIFIC OPENING TIMES FOR SUMMER 2020

-The Kundl Gorge - accessing the gorge from Kundl - is open from April to November. However, the section between the gorge end Mühltal/Wildschönau is only accessible from 17th May to 20th September.
-The Kundl Gorge – accessing the gorge from the Wildschönau - is open from 17th May to 20th September.
-Due to construction work the fun train services run from 17th May to 20th September only.
