Feldthurns affords you an almost limitless enjoyment of Mother Nature in all Her glory. Along the valley floor near Schrambach/San Pietro Mezzomonte, the bicycle path passes by and the mid-altitude ridge of the Eisack Valley – where the village of Feldthurns is located – is the ideal starting point for lengthy outings along the Chestnut Trail, to visit country manors, churches, and monasteries. You'll pass through majestic forests in the nearby villages of Villanders and Barbian.
Starting at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea-level, you find an extensive network of trails affording wonderful views - the Feldthurns mountain pasture. From here, you can continue to Lake Radlsee and the Alpine hut with the same name, the mountain Köninganger (2,439 m), or the Latzfons and the Villanders alpine pasture. The cozy refreshment stops and Alpine refuges are open the year around, and offer tasty South Tyrolean specialties.
