Snowpark in the middle of Riezlern remains true to the freestyle scene

This winter the Crystal Ground - Snowpark Kleinwalsertal is already in its 14th season. In the course of time, this unique facility has advanced to become a permanent institution of the Allgäu scene and the local winter infrastructure. Also this winter the freestyle community can look forward to numerous sessions and cosy events, a constantly changing setup and a familiar, relaxed atmosphere.

Since its opening in winter 2005/06, the park has been the venue for countless events, which have attracted enthusiasm and media interest among the active public, photo shootings, a chill-out area and a place with which many drivers associate great memories. For the team, the needs of the scene always had the highest priority and this is still noticeable today. This focus, the relaxed atmosphere and the park designs, which change almost every month, ensured and continue to ensure enormous acceptance on the part of the athletes, even though the park cannot score with superlatives compared to other facilities in the Alpine region.

In addition to the creative, changing setup and the "by riders for riders" atmosphere, it is also the large sun terrace, the floodlighting every Wednesday from 7 p.m. and the immediate proximity to the Kessler Lift and the town centre that make the Crystal Ground unique and a popular meeting place for the scene.

A four-man, experienced shaper team around the Walser Snowboard-Urgestein Roland Matt takes care every day that the conditions in the park are always optimal and always creates new lines and obstacle variations.

Over the past 14 years, the park has also been an important training ground for many riders - snowboarders and freeskiers alike - and has produced many pro riders later on.
